What to expect when you browse or buy from us, in plain English

These terms explain what to expect when you browse this website or buy from us. If you place an order with Examberry Papers, you are agreeing to them, so please take a few minutes to read through, especially the section on digital downloads.

About us and these terms

Examberry Papers is operated by Examberry Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10644036. Our registered office is at International House, 142 Cromwell Road, London, SW7 4EF.

These terms cover your use of this website, from simply browsing our papers and free resources through to placing an order and receiving your papers, whether as a digital download or a printed pack. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your personal information, and our delivery and returns page, which sets out the practical detail of dispatch and returns.

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how we run the site. The 'last updated' date at the top of this page will change whenever we do. The version of these terms that was in force at the time you placed an order is the version that applies to that order, so it is worth keeping a copy if you want to refer back to it.

Examberry Papers is part of the wider Examberry family. Our sister business, Examberry Tuition, runs its own websites, with their own checkouts and their own terms, these terms apply to examberrypapers.co.uk only.

Your account

An account is created for you automatically the first time you place an order, there is no separate sign up step and no need to register in advance. You will receive an email inviting you to set your password. Please keep your login details safe and do not share them with anyone outside your household, since your account is the way we recognise your orders and, for digital purchases, the way we link your downloads back to you.

You can view your order history, update your contact and address details and access your downloads at any time from your account. If you forget your password, you can reset it at the lost password page. If you believe someone else has accessed your account without your permission, please contact us straight away so we can help secure it.

Orders and payment

When you place an order, you are making us an offer to buy. That offer is accepted, and a contract is formed, when we send you an order confirmation email. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies.

You can pay by card, or by Clearpay or Klarna where these are offered at checkout. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, we never see or store your full card details.

If we spot an obvious pricing error on the site, we reserve the right to correct it and will let you know before dispatching any affected order.

We apply automatic basket discounts at checkout: 10% off orders over £40, 15% off orders over £80 and 20% off orders over £120. These apply automatically, you do not need a code. Discount codes cannot be combined with the automatic basket discounts. Whichever single discount applies at checkout, whether that is a code or a basket discount, is the one you receive.

Digital downloads and your licence

Download and physical formats

Every practice test and pack is offered as either a Download PDF, available immediately after checkout and password protected with the buyer's email address, or a Physical printed copy sent by post. Both formats contain identical questions, answers and explanations, so purchasing both formats of the same pack means paying twice for the same content. Customers must select their format before adding a product to the basket and should check their selection before payment. Digital downloads are supplied immediately and cannot be refunded; physical packs may be returned within 30 days of purchase if unused and in perfect condition, with a full refund issued on receipt.

What you get

Digital purchases are available to download instantly once your order is confirmed. Each pack is supplied as a single PDF, containing the questions plus notes and answers where these are included, with bookmarks to help you navigate it. You can re-download your files at any time from your downloads area. You will have access to the publications in your order, including any updates we make to them at no extra cost, for 2 years from the date of purchase.

Personalisation

Every PDF you buy is password protected. The password is the exact email address you used at checkout. Each file is also personalised with your email address watermarked onto it, so that your copy is uniquely identifiable as yours. We never supply password-free PDFs.

The licence you are granted

Buying a paper grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own household only, meaning you and your own children. You may download the files to your own devices and print copies for use within your household.

What the licence does not allow

  • Copying or reproducing the papers beyond printing for your own household
  • Sharing, lending, giving or selling the files or printed copies to anyone else, including other families, friends or classmates
  • Uploading the files to any website, shared drive, cloud folder, social media group, messaging group or file sharing service
  • Using the papers to teach or assess students other than your own children, whether paid or unpaid (tutors and schools need a licence of their own, see licensing for tutors and schools)
  • Using the papers, in whole or part, to run mock exams, courses or classes, or supplying them to any business that does
  • Rebranding, editing, translating or adapting the papers, or removing the watermark, password protection or any copyright notice, or passing any of our material off as your own work or another company's work
  • Using the papers or any content from this site to train, fine tune or ground any artificial intelligence model, or scraping or bulk downloading content from the site

Tutors, schools and businesses

Commercial use of our papers of any kind requires a separate licence. This covers tutors, tuition companies, schools and any other business use. Visit licensing for tutors and schools for details, our licences provide organisation stamped PDFs at fair rates. Using papers bought for personal, consumer use in commercial tuition breaches these terms.

Enforcement

Because every file is personalised, it can be traced back to the account that bought it. We actively monitor for unauthorised copies of our papers online. If we find a breach of this licence, we will terminate the account's licence with immediate effect, including access to downloads, and may pursue a claim for damages under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. If you become aware of misuse of our papers, please let us know at [email protected], all reports are handled in confidence.

Delivery

We offer free UK delivery on all orders, there is no minimum spend and no separate delivery charge added at checkout. Printed packs typically arrive within 3 to 5 working days of purchase, and we will email you a tracking link once your order has been dispatched so you can follow its progress. Digital downloads do not need to be delivered in this sense, they are available in your account as soon as your order is confirmed.

Full detail on dispatch times, couriers and how returns work in practice is on our delivery and returns page, please check there first if you have a question about where an order has got to. If you would like a physical order delivered outside the UK, please email us before ordering so we can confirm whether this is possible and what it will cost.

Returns, refunds and cancellations

Printed packs. If you change your mind, you can return a printed pack within 30 days of purchase for a refund, provided it is unused and in perfect condition. Please contact us first so we can arrange the return. You will need to cover the cost of return postage. Once your return arrives with us, we will refund you to your original payment method, please allow 5 to 10 working days for this to appear with your bank. This sits alongside your statutory 14 day cancellation right for distance purchases.

If something is wrong. If an item arrives damaged or faulty, is not what you ordered, or you are unhappy with it, please email us at [email protected] with your order number and we will put it right.

Digital downloads. By purchasing a digital download, you agree to us supplying it to you immediately and acknowledge that, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the statutory 14 day right to cancel does not apply once supply has begun. Because digital downloads are supplied immediately, we are unable to offer refunds on them. If anything is wrong with a file you have bought, please contact us and we will put it right.

We do not offer exchanges, if you would like a different paper, please return your purchase for a refund and place a new order.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

Reviews and other things you send us

If you leave a product review, we would love to be able to share it. By submitting one you are giving us permission to publish it on this website and to quote it in our own marketing, such as emails, social media and advertising. We may show it alongside your first name and the town or area you are in. We will never publish your full name, your email address, your address or your child's name.

Please only leave a review that is your own work and reflects your genuine experience of something you have bought from us. Please do not include anyone else's personal details, anything offensive or defamatory, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright. The same applies to any comment, photo or message you send us that we ask to share.

We publish critical reviews as well as positive ones, and we do not edit a review in a way that changes its meaning. We may decline to publish, or later remove, a review that breaks any of the above, that is not about something we sell, or that contains personal information which should not be public. If you would like a review you have left taken down, email us at [email protected] and we will remove it.

Accuracy of information and disclaimer

The content on this site is provided as general information to support entrance exam preparation. We work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every detail, for example third party exam formats or admissions arrangements, which schools and test providers change from time to time, is complete or current. Please always confirm specific details with the relevant school or test provider.

Our papers are practice material intended to support preparation, we do not guarantee any particular exam result or school place. Where our site links to other websites, these are provided for your convenience, we are not responsible for their content. We aim to keep the site available at all times but are not liable for temporary unavailability.

Our chat assistant

Our website has an automated chat assistant, the Examberry Papers Helper. It is there to give you a quick, convenient answer to common questions at any time of day, and it can look up your order and point you to the right papers. Like any automated assistant, it can occasionally get something wrong, misunderstand a question, or give an answer that does not fit your particular circumstances.

For that reason, please treat anything the Helper tells you as guidance rather than a commitment from us. It cannot approve a refund, a replacement, an exchange, a discount or any other resolution, and nothing it says amounts to a promise or a binding agreement on our part. Where it matters, the position confirmed by our team by email at [email protected] is the one that applies. If the Helper has told you something that turns out to differ from what our team confirms, we are sorry for the confusion, and the team's answer is the one that stands. Please do get in touch if anything is unclear, we would always rather check than leave you guessing.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, we are not liable for any business losses, since our products are supplied for consumer use, or for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract at the time it was made. Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections in your own nation and can bring proceedings in your local courts. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply in full. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce it, or any other term, later. This contract is between you and us, no one else has any right to enforce it, and we may transfer our rights and obligations under it, for example if our business is reorganised, provided this does not reduce your rights.
