Format

The 11+ entrance exam for King’s College School consists of three tests:

English (standard format) (50 minutes)
- Section A: comprehension (about 30 minutes)
- Section B: creative writing (about 20 minutes)
Maths (standard format) (50 minutes)
- Section A: short questions focusing on core KS2 maths skills (about 20 minutes)
- Section B: long, multi-part questions focusing on problem solving (about 30 minutes)
Verbal Reasoning
- Word-based problems testing logical thinking and understanding of the English language
