The Hampton School 11+ entrance exam is made up of three standard-format papers:

• English (40 minutes)
  • Creative writing & comprehension
• Words & Reasoning (40 minutes)
  • Tests your child’s ability to infer information from a factual passage (based on non-fiction texts) & from material like maps or timetables
  • The passage-based questions are in a multiple-choice format
  • There will be some verbal and non-verbal reasoning questions on visual and verbal puzzles and about the meaning and use of words
• Maths (45 minutes)
  • Problem-solving questions typically with multiple stages
