11 Plus Entrance Exam: 2027 Entry

Format

The 11+ entrance exam for the City of London School for Girls is split over two stages.

Stage 1:

The Stage 1 test is a 60-minute computer-based exam, created by CEM, assessing:

Numerical skills (maths)
Verbal skills (English and verbal reasoning)
Non-verbal skills (Non-verbal reasoning)

If students pass the Stage 1 exam, CLSG will invite them to complete the Stage 2 exam and a short interview.

Stage 2:

The Stage 2 test is comprised of two 45-minute standard format (written answers) papers assessing:

English – tests creative writing and analytical skills
Maths – tests problem-solving skills
