About Trinity School
Trinity School at Shirley Park, Croydon runs a dedicated 10+ entry into Year 6, its Junior Year, pitched by the school as freeing children from spending Year 6 preparing for SATs. September 2027 is also a landmark: girls join Year 6 and Year 7 for the first time as Trinity begins its move to full co-education by 2031.
Applications for 2027 entry are open now and close in mid-October. (The senior entry is covered in our Trinity 11+ guide.)

How can I register my child for the 10 Plus (10+) assessment at Trinity School?
Apply through the school’s website by 16 October 2026. Trinity’s published material confirms the format and deadline; fee and exact assessment dates are confirmed through the admissions office as part of registration.
What is the 10 Plus (10+) assessment format at Trinity School?
Trinity states plainly that all its 10+, 11+ and 13+ candidates sit both a computer-based assessment and written papers. It doesn’t publish a subject-by-subject breakdown for the 10+, so sensible preparation covers the core that every selective assessment at this age rests on: English comprehension and writing, Year 5 maths, and enough reasoning familiarity that on-screen question formats hold no surprises.
The school’s own pitch for the Junior Year, a Year 6 free of SATs preparation, tells you what it values: children arriving curious and unburnt.
Trinity School 10 Plus (10+) top tips for your child
- Register by 16 October, then get the exact assessment dates from admissions rather than relying on third-party calendars
- Prepare across English, maths and reasoning, split between paper and screen practice to match the dual format
- Parents of daughters: 2027 is the first co-ed Year 6 intake, and demand patterns will be new for everyone
- Keep preparation light enough to honour the school’s own anti-drilling pitch
- Watch the school’s site through the autumn; a school mid-transformation updates its pages often
