Tiffin Girls’ School 11 Plus (11+) Exam Guide

Tiffin Girls’ School is a girls’ selective school with academy status for 11-18-year-olds in Kingston. The school, which was established in 1880, currently supports over 1,200 students and has a co-educational Sixth Form. However, their history actually extends as far back as the fifteenth century, when the two Tiffin brothers left money in their wills, starting a domino effect of donations until eventually a school was formed over two hundred years later.

Tiffin Girls’ School students of today can access impressive facilities including an Astro pitch, netball/tennis courts, an athletics field, two gyms, a sports hall, a drama studio, and a music suite. Additionally, the school offers a rich selection of extracurricular activities such as chess, engineering, football, brass, neuroscience, Harry Potter, and mahjong clubs. They also use a house system with six houses competing in events that all students get involved in throughout the school year.

Their impressive academic performance is reflected in their 2022 results with around 84% of GCSEs results being grade 9-7, 97% of A Levels being A*-B, and 25 students accepting offers to Oxbridge places. In their most recent report, Ofsted graded Tiffin an ‘Outstanding’ school.
