St Benedict’s School is an independent Catholic co-educational day school in Ealing, London, for 3-18-year-olds. The Downside monks founded St Benedict’s in 1902 originally as a boys’ only school. There are currently 1,040 students enrolled in the senior school and an additional 238 in the junior school.

St Benedict’s has a wide-ranging co-curricular programme with over 100 different activities including athletics, coding, LAMDA, dance, polygots, Model United Nations (MUN), Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and the Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award. The school offers some fantastic facilities on site like a dance studio, fencing salle, multi-gym, sports hall complex and as well as 14 acres of grounds in close proximity to the school with an astroturf pitch and pavilion.

In 2022, the school achieved fantastic academic results with 69.3% of all grades achieved at GCSE being awarded 9-7 and 62.9% of all grades achieved at A Level being A*-A.

They were last inspected by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) in 2021 which graded the school as overall ‘meeting the standards’ as well as by the Westminster Diocesan in 2019 which wrote that “Pupils demonstrate a real readiness to be of service to others through their many and varied acts of charity and compassion” and that they are “religiously literate”.
