Sevenoaks School 11 Plus (11+) Exam Guide

Parents should register their children before mid September 2026. Between July and September 2026, parents should confirm their wish to continue with the entry process and provide the school with their child’s co-curricular interests, medical conditions, and special educational needs. Students wishing to apply for financial assistance or for Music Scholarships should also do so at this stage. Sevenoaks will write to the child’s current school for a confidential reference.

The school also requests that parents submit their child’s ISEB code or 11+ grammar test score by early November – if neither of these apply, parents should email the Registrar during confirmation in order to discuss alternative options for sitting a Reasoning pre-test sometime in the autumn. Once the school has received your child’s ISEB code or 11+ grammar test results, Sevenoaks will invite the majority of candidates to an assessment day at the school in early January.

Offers of places and scholarships will be sent out by email in February 2027 and should be accepted by early March 2027 along with the payment of a £2,000 deposit. Successful applicants will be invited to a post-offer taster day in early March 2027. Some unsuccessful candidates will be held in a Reserve pool, and may be offered a place if a spot opens up.
