About Lady Eleanor Holles

Lady Eleanor Holles School (LEH) is an independent day school for girls, located in Hampton, London. Recognised nationally for their academic and sporting endeavours, they are considered one of the highest achieving schools in the county. [1]

In 2022, the school achieved some impressive results with 95% of A Level results awarded grades A*-B and 95% of all GCSE results being awarded grades 9-7. [2]

LEH offers a broad curriculum that encompasses traditional subjects, such as English, modern and ancient languages, maths, humanities and science. Pupils are also given the opportunity to explore less conventional subjects, such as computing and design technologies, art, music and drama. LEH has state-of-the-art facilities which enhance the teaching of all of these subjects. [3]

Alongside its excellent academic record, Lady Eleanor Holles offers a vast range of extra and co-curricular activities and societies to encourage its students to explore their interests and grow into well-rounded individuals. The extracurricular programme caters to every interest, offering activities from sports and music clubs to Airgineers Drone Club and Current Affairs Society. The school also offers students the chance to earn their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award and runs several national and international trips. [4]

Admissions information for 2027 entry to Lady Eleanor Holles at 11 Plus (11+)

The school strongly encourages prospective pupils and their parents to visit before applying. For Senior School (11+), LEH regularly welcomes families to visit throughout the Summer and Autumn Terms. Details of Senior School open events and booking are published by LEH, and families can register interest via the LEH admissions portal.

This will allow you and your child to familiarise yourselves with the facilities, meet staff, and decide whether LEH is the right fit.

LEH is academically selective and places are awarded through a competitive admissions process. LEH states that applications should be made between April and the application deadline (usually early November) of the year preceding the proposed year of entry. For entry in September 2027, this means applying in 2026.

The 11+ entrance assessments include the following:
Stage 1a: The ISEB Common Pre-Test (taken either at LEH or at the applicant’s current school)
Stage 1b: LEH’s Problem-Solving Entrance Examination (sat at LEH)

LEH explains that the ISEB Common Pre-Tests are computer-based, age-standardised tests in Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English. LEH also explains that its Problem-Solving paper tests linguistic and logic problem-solving and includes elements of Maths and English.

References are requested from the Head of your daughter’s current school in the November preceding the entrance examination.

After the assessments, candidates’ results are reviewed by the LEH Admissions Panel, and applicants who perform well are invited back to LEH for interviews with senior members of the teaching staff. LEH publishes a year-by-year timetable for the full sequence of dates, so you should always check the published timeline for your entry year.

How can I register my child for the 11 Plus (11+) exam at Lady Eleanor Holles?
