Exam format for the Redbridge Grammar School 11 plus (11+) entrance exam

The Redbridge 11 plus

For Redbridge-based grammar schools, students must take the Redbridge 11 plus (11+). The electronically-marked entrance exam is set by GL Assessment and composed of two multiple-choice 50-minute to 1 hour papers testing:

  • English and verbal reasoning – testing reading comprehension, spelling, punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, logical reasoning, letter/word-based problem solving.
  • Maths and non-verbal-reasoning – numerical/visual problem solving, Key Stage 2 (KS2) maths national curriculum.
