Emanuel School is a co-educational independent school in Battersea, London. The school’s history originates in the 16th century when its founder, Lady Anne Dacre, requested the Emanuel Hospital be built for the education of 10 boys and 10 girls. Today, Emanuel School supports roughly 1,000 students with their ethos of pupils, parents, and teachers working together in teaching, learning, pastoral care, co-curricular, and community life.

The 12-acre site, which is only a 10 minute walk from Clapham Junction rail station, offers an array of facilities including an indoor swimming pool, art studios, playing fields, a film studio, and coding suites. Off-site, there is also a cricket pitch, three rugby pitches, access to All Stars Tennis, and Barnes Hockey Club.

In addition to their impressive wealth of facilities, Langley offers a rich co-curricular programme for students to get involved in with over 50 clubs, 40 subject clinics, and over 30 musical societies. One of their most notable extra-curricular programmes is their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award which draws in over 100 students annually.

The school has also received awards and accreditations of its own, such as being the Winner of the Independent Schools of the Year 2021 and being a finalist for the Independent School of the Year 2022 for Performing Arts (Music & Drama) category.

Moreover, they have a history of great academic performance which is reflected in their 2022 exam results, with 72.3% of GCSE grades being 9-8 and 70% of A-Level grades being A*-A.
